What image do you like better

Which of the two images do you like better? I can't make up my mind.
Thank you, Kerby

The first one is better in my opinion Kerby. The plain blue background in photo number 2 gives everything a washed out look.

Hi Kerby! Great capture of this nice pose by your young model! Just an idea for you... have you thought about cropping more from the left side of the image?? I held a card up to my screen, "cropping" it right at her back pocket, and it looked like this might partly solve the fence/sky question.

With the current images, I also think the fence composition looks better... maybe just a touch lighter on her skin tone. Hope this input helps...
regards, Brian

Kerby, I like the crop, but on looking at all of them on my screen, her hair seems to have lost definition. The texture on the tree is great, but her hair seems blurred - might be my screen, then again its late here, it might be my ageing eyes!! I actually quite liked the blue sky contrasting in the 2nd one! Shows how subjective photography is hey? But I agree, she really blossoming into a beautiful young lady.

Good evening (here anyway) Kerby! I've been out of town all day...just got home a while ago.

Yes, Yes! I do think the crop helps, and I think the lighter tonal range is better. It looks like you've used a buzz filter of some kind(?) which is probably what Robyn is seeing. I'm no expert, so not sure what else (if anything) to suggest, but the bottom line is...what looks best to YOU!

Always love seeing your compositions...you have a great range of subject matter! Thanks for sharing this one with us. Regards, Brian.

Hi Brian, Robyn, Carolyn, Laura, Linda and Dennis,

Thank you so much for your responses.

I came up with another version. I been playing with this picture off and on all day.

Keshia was up today and she liked the one I am posting right now thinking it represents earth and sky. LOL

Kerby

Kerby is the skin tone of Keshia more like the one you use as your mini photo or the one you posted today. I would think you would need the photo to be true to her skin tone. :o)

  Hi Dr. Silly,

I posted the image today as my entry.

The skin tones on the one I entered in the contest are a bit darker than this one and the image cropped a little big different.

Keshia's skin tans very easily so sometimes it darker and sometimes it lighter and she an she is very active outside.

Kerby
