Photography Question

Deborah Liperote

TO ALL THOSE WHO APPRECIATE DEBBY TABB'S ADVICE

This is not a question but a statement.
I just got done reading Kristi Eckberg's question to Debby (Attention Debby Tabb I need your help) and I just have to say to you Debby, how very supportive, polite and generous you are with helping people.
I always take the time to read threads that you comment on because I know I'm gonna learn something and I appreciate how you never put anyone down for their question. And even though your so busy you will still encourage people to contact you personally to give further assistance. You seemed to be a genuinly nice person.

I'll second that! -- I was thinking of posting this exact message, so thanks for beating me to it, Deborah!

Sometimes I read a thread and I think, "Where's Debby? I want to know what Debby thinks about this" because I've come to trust her advice and she doesn't make you feel like you're an idiot just because you're trying to learn.

After being a fly on the wall of the Studio Lighting thread since I joined BP, I felt like I "knew" Debby even though she had no clue I existed (does that qualify as some kind of stalker?! ha!) So when I decided to get new lights for my home studio, the obvious thing to do was to email Debby for help.

That same day, she called me and treated me like I was an old friend, spending 90 minutes on the phone with me, getting to know what I like to do and helping me pick out the best product that I could afford. She is funny, engaging, and sincere. On top of that, she placed the order for me the next morning and got them to me in record time!

Debby Tabb is one of those rare individuals who has "made it" in photography, yet her greatest joy and reward comes from seeing her "pupils" succeed, no matter how small the accomplishment. Ask her anything -- she'll tell ya how to do it AND give you the confidence to do it and do it well. Thanks again, Debby! I appreciate you!!! - Laura

I have to admit, she does have good advice. One heck of a sense of humor, too.

I agree, although I don't have bucks or space for studio lighting - I often 'lurk' on her threads :) I've also had other info and tips from her, and also enjoy her sense of humour and sharp wit. Debby, I actually don't know where you find time to have a business, run a home, be a wife, mother, lover etc AND spend so much time on BP - let us know the secret.
