school portraits

Our church has a school. I would like to send a proposal to the school for next year to take their school portraits. Does anyone have an idea of what kind of charges and packages I can offer. Have never done pricing on this type of work
I look forward to all suggestions.

I may be doing the same thing for our church school next year. I would be interested in your studio set-up what you will be using etc.

I take photos all the time, and am always being asked to give them a copy either digital or prints. This can become quite a hassle (as well as expensive), until I found a website that will process the orders for prints. www.dotphoto.com. It's free to upload and for on-line viweing. You can set "tiers"of pricing, and assign each album a different price for reprints. You can set it to "no mark-up" (you make no money - for close frineds or family), or whatever yu want. They even allow packages - say 2 8x10, 4 5x7s, and some wallets.

There is a handling fee for any price tier that is more thn cost. I beliveit's 18% overall (15% handling fee and the 3% for something else). They ahndle all the money, take the orders, ship to the clients. etc. Evry month (I think) they end you a check for any profits.

I am sure there are other similar sites - and I would enjoy hearing about them for comparison purposes. Take a lok at this one, see if it might helpmeet your needs.
