Photography Question

Hunter J. Womack

New Camera, NEED ADVICE, please read.

Hello all, I am in the process of getting a new camera. I am really interested in the Canon 20D, although I read somewhere that the Digital Rebel was almost the same camera. I need a very high quality reliable camera because I do Senior pictures, Weddings, ect. My question is, How does the 20D compare to the Rebel? Is all the extra money I will spend on the 20D really worth it, or will the rebel be a good enough camera for the jobs I do? Any advice would help me out very much. Thank you.

~Hunter

Most pro's use the 20D as emergency back-up. Main camera is 1D and above. Some have started to use the 5D(mostly women because of the weight issue) as there main, but becuase of the 9 foucs points you won't have a sweetspot like the 45 focus points of the more costly cameras. No room for error, hold your breath or use a tripod. Some people don't understand why they get out of focus shoots with the 20D, but if you use a tripod you should nail it eveytime. I don't know of any wedding photographers that use a REBEL, and if you do decide to, keep it hush-hush.

Hunter, I agree with Craig (if you can afford it) but the Canon Rebel XT is an EXCELLENT camera! Anyway, check out this site, it has so much info on all cameras!
