Photography Question

Robyn Gwilt

Is BP offline for repairs?

Everytime I try to log on to BP as my home page, I get this message (for about 3 days now) BetterPhoto Server Status

BetterPhoto.com and its related sites are currently offline due to scheduled maintenance. We apologize for this inconvenience. The site will be back up shortly.

Thank you very much for your patience and support.

Yet if I type in my www.betterphoto.com/?RobynB it'll take me to my gallery, and from there I can sign in and away I go - I'm still getting emails re comments on pix I've commented on, POTD etc., so I'm really confused. Can anyone shed some light??

No, they're not down, so you better email Jay (jay at betterphoto.com) and see what's up.

Thanks Caroline - have done, will wait for a reply. Very strange!! Maybe it's to do with non-American servers? I'm in South Africa. If anyone else is getting this message, please let me know. Thanks

I saw that message a couple of times over the weekend, but I was pretty busy, so I didn't investigate it further. There must have been some kind of maintenance going on.

Ok, this is the reply I received - when in doubt, hit refresh :)

Hi Robyn-

Betterphoto is not offline, however I think I may know what the problem is. We had to do some maintenance a couple days ago and brought the sites down. You may have visited at that time - it was for about 15 minutes. Your browser has now likely cached the home page as a server down page instead of the real home page. Clearing your cache or pressing the shift key and refreshing should solve the problem for you.

Thanks,
