Photography Question

Wrong File Header


 
 
I lost my digital photographs [jpg's] in a computer crash, I invested in a retrieval program, as the 'lost' photo's were of a very high sentimental value. This program found my 'lost' photo's and I was able to put them back into my photo folder.

However when I try to view the photo's in Windows Picture and Fax Viewer only three open and I have received the following message:- cannot read the file header - when trying to open the others

Does anyone have a suggestion as to how to resolve this problem?
