Assistantships around Chicago? Hi Everyone, I am very interested in finding a position as an wedding photo assistant. I live 1 hr west of Chicago. Could anyone suggest wedding photography firms/photographers who use assistants who I could contact? I have to figure that there might be a handfull of people on this site who might be from Chicago!

Just out of curiosity, can you not just open the yellow pages, and search for wedding studios located in areas you are willing to work? A simple phone call to each would provide you with any/all information you need. If the studio is receptive, set up an interview. If not, move on to the next. Good luck. Michael H. Cothran

Autumn,here is another suggestion. google the chicago PPA (proffesional photographer assoc.) Find out where they meet and attend a meeting.....Tony
