Photography Question

B/W not appearing as B/W when downloaded


 
 
Having just recently joined, I entered a b/w photo which on my monitor is b/w, however, when viewing it on this site it appears to have a slight tint. Any thoughts on why would be appreciated.

Carole Loiselle 		  Thanks Mike, will look into the calibration. This photo was scanned from a negative, wonder if maybe this could have also been a problem.

The image does appear to me to have a pinkish tint to it. When you scanned the negative, did you scan it in color or in grayscale? You can either try scanning it again, or remove the tint in your photo editing program.
