Canon Rebel G

I'm confuse with Canon Rebel G (3 points focus) and Canon Rebel 2000 (7 points focus. What will affect me/what does it mean??

If you have a choice between Nikon N60 and Canon Rebel 2000, what is your choice and why?

For me the Rebel 2000 wins hands down over the N60. For starters, the Rebel 2000 has 7-point autofocus, 35 zone metering (better than its upscale Elan cousins), depth of field preview, Canon USM lens compatibility, auto exposure bracketing, multiple exposures and cable release socket. The N60 has none of these and weighs in at 20 ounces compared to the 12 ounce Rebel. I found the autofocus was quicker and more crisp with the Rebel, also. The N60 seemed to have to hunt a lot.
