Best digital for snap shots with friends hey I'm going into my freshmen year of college and my majior is graphic design and a bach in photography i've got my big camra for all that, but I need a good camera to throw in my purse and take snap shots with my friend at partys and such. I dont care about digatl zoom I want it at least 6 optical and about 6 mp also..this is extreamly hard to find and i'm not having much luck please help me thank you

Alonna , for point ansd shoot , i've always liked Kodaks Easyshare cameras , most are pretty small w/ 5x optical and 3x digital zoom , I havent seen any with 6 optical as far as I know they jump to 10x . I keep mine with me all the time but carry the big stuff 99% of the time anyway hope you find what your looking for :)

Alonna - I've always recommended Nikon and Canon for point and shoots but you can also find Nikon really small. I actually keep one in my purse all the time. I don't know about zoom on the newer models (mine is a couple years old) but both produce really high quality photographs. I've always hated and steered people away from Kodaks but then I've seen a couple people on here who use them and have some really fantastic photos... I guess it just proves that it's more in the photographer and not the camera. But in general, I would much sooner go with Nikon or Canon than Kodak (and definitely not Fuji!).
