SD Memory cards

My next purchase is going to be a memory, and so, I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with corsair memory. I just ordered a Nikon d50 and was first thinking about sandisk extreme III, which has transfer speads of up to 20mb/sec. Now the Corsair I saw on pricegrabber has a transfer speed of 21mb/sec. The sandisk is about $80 for 1GB while the Corsair is about $95 for 2GB. I just dont know if the Corsair will be compatible with my d50 where as with the sandisk I know it will work, and I have been unable to find anything on Nikon's website about compatibility with memory cards. Any thoughts?

If the memory card is in the SD format, then you shouldn't have any compatibility concerns. The SD format is a standard interface that each manufacturer would need to meet.

I've used Corsair memory in desktop computers without problems. They have a reputation for fast memory. I didn't know they made SD cards, but I don't think you should have any problems.

Hey Chris thanks for the info. After doing some more research I found that the Corsair is compatibale with the Nikon d50 and is actually a little bit faster than the Sandisk Extreme III, according to some tests. I decided to go for the Corsair. For $86 I get a 2GB shipped to me from Newegg. Pretty damn good compared to $80 for the Sandisk, which is only 1GB. An extra gig and faster speed, ya, I think I'll go with Corsair.
