Counters

Hi...

I am not too fond of the Bravenet counter that comes with the Deluxe Website or that you can sign up at get for free. There is another one I want to use, but it has more than 500 characters in the code to install on the page. How else can I do this or is this not going to be possible?

Thank you for your help and time. I reallly do appreciate it!

Michele :)

Which counter is it that you like?
Although you are not to modify the counter code you are given, but if comments are imbeded in the script, remove them to reduce the number of characters.

My idea of a web counter is that "simpler the better". I use one from http://www.cgi2you.com/ on my premium gallery. It does have options to customize colors and style. It simple and straight forward and has only 100 characters.

It's from statcounter.com as I have used them for years and just recently moved my site to BP. They are going to try to install it themselves for me since I had issues on the limit of 500. I like the tracking that they use and the detailed info that you get.
Before I posted my question here, I saw your response and the link to cgi2you.com on another post and checked it out, but I am not crazy about their tracking info. Thank you anyway.

Michele :)

I just briefly looked at statcounter.com web site and I thought it sounded good.
If it does not have annoying ads and pop-ups like the one from bravenet, I may try and use it out myself.

No pop-ups, etc like bravenet. I think you will like it! Much better than bravenet as I have used them for about a month now. If you do use them and you get the code installed, let me know how you did it so I can do it if they haven't done it for me by then. :) thanks!! :)

Statcounter has a very detailed report and a lot of things, options, ways of tracking down to the city of where someone came from, excellent customer support, etc.

Bravenet's pop up ads are a drag!
I hate to ask a stupid question but how do you hide Bravenet's stats so the world doesn't view how few or how many visitors you have on your site?
Thanks.
Deja
