I've always thought it was pointless for manufacturers to publish sample images for lenses or cameras.

I can understand when they post the same subject as seen from different lenses, so you can see how the Field of View differs.

But as far as quality is concerned, have you ever seen a bad sample image? Even for the most mediocre camera or lens, they manage to find a stunning sample image, so what's the point?

Oh, I have seen some bad sample images. I do have my favorites. They just make it so much easier for me to get the quality that I want.

it's hard to get a good view of what these lenses are cabable of with such small images. they should post some 20x30 crops! lol.

Somebody has been to the candy store I see.

Great Quality? How about amazing quality?

I love the first shot. You would think on the second sample they would have put her in front of some busy backround to show off the bokeh.

" . . . in front of some busy backround to show off the bokeh."

Not everyone needs to show off, Craig.

We're all terribly impressed with you, really.

It doesn't matter that you've never posted a photograph that you've actually taken yourself.

Just the fact that you talk a lot about expensive equipment and shooting thousands of shots at weddings all the time and making lots of money is obvious proof that you're a great big-shot photographer. Really. We're convinced.

Good for you.

You make me laugh Chris, you're so serious. It's just a forum , you don't have to eat it.
