Do KONICA TC-X lenses fit any other model

Do KONICA TC-X lenses fit any other model.I have just come across an old KONICA TC-X with a couple of impresive looking lenses but the body does not work (batterys had leaked). Have looked into buying new body but cannot find so if anyone knows where I could pick one up or of another model which lenses will fit. Any info would be much appreciated.

I used to own a Konica TC. Very nice SLRs (the T-1 ... T-4 were the best). While their 35mm SLR cameras and lenses were very good, Konica could not match the production and marketing of Nikon and Canon (or Pentax and Minolta for that matter), and were discontinued at the beginning of the autofocus era (~1987).

Like other camera makers, Konica devised their own unique lens mount. While very similar to Canon's FD mount, the lenses will not mount directly on any other makers' cameras. And vice-versa, other makers' lenses will not fit on the Konica camera. It is technically possible to fashion adapters to fit other makers' lenses to Konica bodies, and a little more difficult but possible to adapt Konica lenses to other SLRs. However, it is not worth the hassle as you'd lose the auto-aperture function. Konica's were such low volume compared to other makes that no one bothered to make adapters commercially. Best to just shop used for a good Konica body to use the very fine Konica lenses with.

Found this site with more information on the Konica SLRs: http://www.buhla.de/Foto/Konica/eKonicaStart.html

Try ebay. You don't say whether your lenses are in fact also made by Konica, but their prime lenses included some of the best glass ever made, in a few cases rivaling Zeiss and Leitz.

I just went to ebay and found a Konica Autoreflex T with the bidding standing at $9.99. There is two days left. You may want to check into it.
