Forgot My Polarizing Filter I ended up on a boat trip with my camera but without my filter! It was a very bright day and all of my mountain shots are so washed out. Any suggestions for post shot work to revive my shots? From now on the whole camera bag goes with me everywhere. Thanks for any suggestions!

Tamera, I dont use photoshop , but microsoft digital imaging suite 10, if my photos seem a little washed out I use my "exposure and lighting " section and try to adjust my midtones and highlights hope that helps .

Try curves. It sometimes helps.

Thank you all very much. I'll take a look tonight and see what I can save!

Greetings Tamera: You shouldn't need a polarizing filter to get correct exposure. It may help get rid of some glare or unwanted outdoor reflections, or even improve color saturation or contrast to different parts of the scene. But it sounds to me as though your shots turned out overexposed. And for that, I'd check your meter.
