Here's a link to the photos taken with the D200. If no one responds you can always email someone who has the camera.

I can't imagine too much wrong with it. I'm saving for one now and as soon as they become readily available I'm hoping to have enough money :D.

  Thanks for the link Sharon!

I didnt mean for people to say whats wrong with it, more like what works best with it, such as memory cards, lenses etc. and if there is anything that you should know about it as far as how it handless etc.!

Hey Collette, I just bought the D200 after doing a bunch of research of simular models (www.dpreview.com)ie. Canon 20D. I found it to be slightly better because of the LCD screen(its almost twice the size of the 20D) and the frame rate(up to 5 fps)compared to the 20D's 3fps. It also just feels good in your hand. As soon as you pick it up you can tell it's a solid, well mad camera. So far I haven't ran into anything that's become a problem for me. It's just a great camera.

Hi! I don't have the D200 but I'm sure I would love it. Having a 20D myself I just wanted to comment that the 20D is 5 frames per second as well, not 3.

I'll agree that if you're good with technical info, dpreview.com is a great place to go.

  I stand corrected. I meant the 5D.

Hello folks, I have the D200,, brought it a couple of months ago,and all I can say about the camera is wow, I have a fuji and an olympus E 500 and the D200 beats them hands down it's just a wonderful camera It's a little expensive but you get what you pay for, It has the ClS system for speed lights that really makes getting good photos without a whole lot of gear to carry. If you can get one go for it, in my book you wont be sorry.

  Good Morning,
I owned the 20D( due to a business venture I trained phootographers for)
the D70 & Fuji S2 for my business uses.
I found the 20D to be a sturdy camera, largely built & and a bit difficult. Just not as user friendly.
Once you work with it for some time it's a fine camera.
The D70 & fuji S2 I still recommend today.
The D70 being a smaller light wieght easy to use camera.
The Fuji S2 is slow but that Color Processer is Beautiful!
The D200, WOW! as soon as you pick it up you know this is a great camera.
I have absolutly NO complaints.
It is a true Nikon made in Nikon fashion.
I will keep this camera, but it does lack that Beautiful Fuji Prosessor.
So my eyes now are firmly set on the
Fuji S5:( overcoming all the obsticales fuji had hoped to correct with the Fuji S3)
Fuji took thier Beautiful Porsessor, added RP (Real Photo) Processor Pro for even more film like quality and color. put it into the D200 body.
S5 Pro has a maximum write speed of 16.6 MB per second.
And all Nikon compatible.
This is really a beautiful camera and I can't wait to get my paws on it.
The reality is as soon as you buy one camera another will be relessed with added features you'll have to have!
So as I tell most here, just make the best decision for you and BE HAPPY.
all by best for you and a happy,Informed purchase,
Debby

My only concern about the D200 was with the image banding problems that were very noticeable on some cameras... and with Nikon's response that the banding was not a problem! This showed up especially at higher ISOs in dark areas.

If you get one without the banding issues, then you'll be very happy.

As an aside, I wonder how many people realize that, unlike film cameras, the digital camera IS the film in that different cameras have different image characteristics.

  Collette,

I use a D200 and I am pleased with it. It seems to be as rugged as my old Nikon N90S. This is my first digital camera, but I had no trouble learning how to use it. I find it to be very user friendly.
