Photography Question

Chrys J. Huntley

Trying to decide..point/shoot

I am an amateur enthusiast that loves to play with my camera.I have a Nikon cool pix 4300 now and I did have a Canon Powershot that got stolen before that. I liked the Canon a lot better because the LCD screen was larger, clearer and the video had sound. No sound in my Nikon! I take a lot of family and pet photo's. Especially my two granddaughters and their activities, playing at the park, dance recitals, baseball games, horseback riding lessons etc...
My problem is, I want to advance in quality quite a bit, yet I am quite limited in technical knowledge as far as
manual settings go.
I do not want a problem with noise, or blurry pics or slow focus time or low light problems.
I do want video with sound,

Well, first of all we need to know your price range. Once we know that we can reccomend a few cameras. But, my best advice is to let us reccomend a few cameras and then go to the local camera shop and try them out. Because for me one camera may feel just right, have the controls in just the right place, but the same camera in your hands may feel to big or small and the controls may be awkward.
