Photography Question

Craig Paulsen

what makes digital photos look like film?

well I can't tell you, because I don't do my own editing and my editor won't tell me the recipe. But, this past weekend I was over at her house and was talking marketing stategies(she does the website stuff too). Let it be known that I can walk and chew gum at the same time. As I was talking to her(she was editing a wedding of mine) I noticed that she turned the color shot into B&W first and then hit play on one of her actions which made it into sepia which looked very much like film. She also did the same for sepia and did an action which turned it into B&W. I've asked her before how she makes my shots look so good and her reply is always "if I tell you, then you won't need me anymore, the secret is in the sauce". So I think doing the opposite might be the answer to shot that pop of the page.
