Making your own backdrop?
I recently painted my own backdrop using a double roller (one that you can use 2 different colors at the same time). It turned out pretty good but I really want a softer look than what paint gives. I know that some people have said that they use Rit Dye in a spray bottle, how is that done? Do you have to mix it with water, spray it on and let it dry? Do you have to rinse it after it dries? I aslo thought about using spray paint? How about using a feather duster or some sort of paint brush that gives that effect? Any ideas?

Hi Amanda, I'm trying to make backdrops too, and found this article on BP by Denise Miotke. I printed it & am hoping to try it out in the next week or two. Maybe it'll help you also...http://www.betterphoto.com/exploring/MakingBackDrops.php
