I was just wondering which catogory would be best to put this photo in? People or Digital Darkroom? I would really appreciate your thourghts :o)

  Which is more important to you, Rachel: that the image be judged on its technique or on the subject-matter? There's your answer. Objectively, it flies in both categories for me.

  Rachel, I would honestly put it in People, you would have a better chance of winning. The DD catagory is for a little more than partial color in an image.

  I think that the DD category is for some serious graphic art/illustration stuff. Things you probably just couldn't do with film (or impossibly couldn't). Selective coloring is a relatively amazingly simple procedure -- remove the paper's coating, paint your image with photographic water-color paint, reapply new paper coating and you're done. Kim Anderson is probably one of the most famous selective color photographers with her children images.
