Photography Question

Lensbabies?

I just bought a lensbaby along with the wide-angle and macro accessories. I haven't received it yet, but wondered if anyone else out there has any tips or techniques they can share.

How do you determine exposure since the lens doesn't work with the camera's metering system? Sunny 16? Trial and error?

I am excited about getting the lens. I read the few threads here about the Baby, and one picture on one member's gallery (of a beautiful pink rose) convinced me that I wanted one.

I'd love to hear from anyone!

Thanks,

Teri

yes, and yes. Also, with Canon EOS bodies (and maybe with other brands as well) the meter is functional with this type of lens when in M and Av modes using "stop-down" metering method. Leave the aperture setting on the camera at "00". Set the desired aperture on the lens (the viewfinder will darken if other than wide open). In Av mode the camera will choose an appropriate shutter speed. In M you adjust the shutter speed until the meter scale centers at zero.

  Jon,

I just received my lens and it worked exactly as you said it would. I had such a good time with this lens. If I had known it would be so much fun, I would have bought it a long time ago!
