Photography Question

Niccole Olsen

Choosing a scanner?

I was wondering if someone could recomend a good quality/somewhat inexpensive scanner. I am looking at scanning some old snapshots and putting them together in a "photobook" like what you would see at photoworks. I am looking for something under $200, but I don't know much about scanners, so Im not sure if $200 would get me far.
Thanks for any input!

  hello niccole,
i purchased the epson perfection 4180 flatbed scanner last year and am very pleased with it.i scan my photos that I put in my gallery with it which I think gives great results. with tax and all it was right at 200 bucks.
it will also scan full sheet documents, at 81/2 by 11.
good luck, sam

Sam's recommendation is a good one, Nicole - actually pretty much any scanner from Epson or Canon in the $100-200 price range should suffice.
