Minolta maxxum 7 focusing problem I have a problem with my maxxum 7. It does not focus quick as it use to be. Before you will focus you have to press the shuttle release halfway for about 4 times before it will focus. Even when focused it is not sharp. The problem is not with the lens.

Check to see if perhaps the mirror or the AF sensors in the bottom of the mirror box of the camera are clean. Loose dust/lint can be removed with a very clean blower/brush. Do not touch the mirror or use lens cleaning solutions, papers, or cloths on it. The silvering on the mirror is very delicate and not protected by any coatings. Do not use canned air as the high pressure air can damage the shutter curtains.
