I always am so excited to see a new thread pop up.

Sandra, you bring up a good question. I will try to go through and count the templates on each cd and then try to post that. I will also add it to the website. The website now has the addition of customers being able to use paypal directly from the site. This will even work for those who don't have a paypal account, but want to pay by credit card. Paypal is a secure site.

For those interested in the scrapbooking idea, there is actually a good deal of money to be made making these pages for customers who either don't have the time or the know-how. I have found this to be true especially with the heritage albums. Many times there is only one of a special photo in existance and the family all wants a copy, this way everyone can get copies of the family treasures. It sure has kept the peace in my family. I mention this because this is an area that is fairly untapped. Keep in mind that there are always copyright issues to consider though. I have some more ideas that I am working on for all of us. Photography is not always a steady business and personally I like to have backup for the in-between times. I like to pass as much of that along to others as possible.

One more idea. I'm going to start doing "Little Princess and Little Diva" parties. These will be for little girls to play dressup and be photographed. The girls can bring their own clothes and accessories or use mine. The parent hosting the party will pay a set fee for each child attending with a minimum of 5. Each child will leave with a 5x7 group shot and a 4x6 individual shot. I'm excited about working on a template for that one so that everything will print on one page. I can't wait to start advertising for this one, I think this will be a lot of fun. If you enjoy working with children, this might be a fun money maker.

  Liza,

that is a great idea for the Little Diva... when my daughter turned 7 (she's 13 now) I did that for her but I wasn't into photography at the time. So they came to our house for their "makeovers" and two mom's stayed to help out. We did hair, "make up" & nails. Then we drove to a local studio for a photo shoot and while the proofs were being developed (they offered one hour) we ate lunch. Picked up the proofs and I bought each girl a 4 x 6 of themselves and a 5 x 7 of all seven of them together. They had a blast! I had never thought of that as a side venture until you mentioned it, but it was soooo much fun!

I'm glad we're on to #10!!!! I'm learning so much!

What a neat idea. I have a friend who's daughter is the perfect age for this. I may mention trying it out. Lisa, where is the site with the cd info? If I remember right it is PS templates and such? I use PSP, but thinking about getting Elements to start with the Adobe line. So many things to think about buying..new camera, new lens, new lights, new software, seminars, classes...(sigh) gosh if one of us could just win the lottery we could all have new equipment!!

Hi everyone . . who all shoots RAW??? I just did a family shoot tonight and shot in the RAW+JPEG mode and boy I just dont' know about this . .. I use PSE 4.0(just got it) and I open my image and a screen comes up for me to adjust the white balance, color, saturation, shadows, highlights. .. then I can click save, open and a bunch of stuff. . . can anyone give me some pointers on this process. . I am totally lost in this workflow and do not feel that it's an easier thing at all . . . I do like the white balance adjustment but that's about it . . . I can't seem to do any of the cloning, etc unless I convert it to 8 bit color mode. . . so to me what's the point . .. Here are a couple of images from today. The little girls has worn sunglasses since she was a baby . . . sooooo anytime she is outside she squints. . . we were in the shade and she was squinting . . . I tried to joke with her to have her relax her eyes and then I got goofy faces. . . I see a bad vibe coming with all of this that they aren't goign to like them . . .

Helllooo everyone!! #10 :)
Hey Michelle,
I have never tried raw but I have read alot about on here and I really don't understand it. My favorite of the 2 that you posted is the second one. Thats a shame about the girl squinting but no one else is so you had them in a good spot. Also I wante to thank you for all your help the other day with showing me how to do the sketches. I really appreciate it!

Have a nice night!
