Chat Applets
Who seconds my vote on BP looking into designing some chat applets. That way we can all chat about a certain subject 'real-time'. I personally think it's a great idea. There could be multiple categories: studio lighting, portraiture posing, landscapes, macro, etc. What do you guys think? I think if the thread got large enough they could think about thinking about it!

Chat probably isn't a good idea for a site like BP. From what I've seen of some of the Q&A and CC threads if it was happening in real time it could get ugly and I'm sure no one here would want to moderate a chat room. Years ago HGTV had a chat room and they closed it I'm sure in part because of the rowdy behavior going on in the chat room.

I think it's a great idea, Justin. People who don't want to participate of course, wouldn't have to. I LIKE IT and I think it'd be fun and educational. Mark

I enjoy chat, but I've seen them get pretty out of control. There are members here you can tell would fight at the drop of a hat. They come close in the Q&A sometimes. Hey Justin, why don't you create a Yahoo group just for chatting?

I've never had good luck with any type of real-time chat. I just always seem to miss the good stuff, and just read about it later. Just my opinion, Chris

Justen - There's a thread that's into it's 8th or 9th iteration that started as a question about Studio Photography. I responded in the first thread and, finally, got off the list. If you check it now, the subject matter has strayed far from the original topic. There's another problem - wasted time. That's even a problem with this Q&A Section. Have you answer the BP survey in which we're asked, "How many times a day do you log on?" Hmmm! John
