John Rhodes		Hi Jean, I'm thinking of doing the same. I was in Home Depot the other day and checked out the lights. I had already read the specs on a tabletop light source and found it used fluorescent bulbs at 5000K output. These were designated “daylight” bulbs. I think that would be the way to go. Check out www.lowelego.com. I copied the following from their specsheet. "Replacement Lamp Code: E1-27 US List Price: $20.00 Lamp Features These lamps are designed for imaging and are intended for use only with the Lowel Ego. They are 5500° K (daylight) color temperature, with a CRI (color rendering index) of 90+. Each lamp is 27 Watts, with an output roughly equivalent to a 100 Watt standard incandescent light bulb. Lowel rates life at 5,000 to 10,000 hours. Instant start, flicker free. NOT DIMMABLE." John To love this comment, log in above December 18, 2005

Craig m. Zacarelli		my wife has a "Metalhallied" (sp?) grow light, awsome "fake" daylight.. but, it gets so hot, youd never be able to keep the subject (or lightbox) under it for too long..lol Craig- To love this comment, log in above December 19, 2005
