Photography Question

digital memory problems

Along the same lines as the "OMG I need help quick" problem, I took a bunch of Christmas dog photos this weekend as a fundraiser. I had two SanDisk 512MB disks. I would do one sitting and hand it to the woman with the printer. She'd print one for the owner. Meanwhile I'd be using my second disk. Switch. Etc.

I got home and downloaded all the images, and there is an hour missing. It's very strange. It goes from 11:22 a.m. to 12:26 p.m. with no pictures. Not only am I sure I was shooting continuously all day, but there are specific images that I remember that are missing.

Any ideas why my disks would just get rid of an hour's worth of photos?! And it has to be both of them 'cause of the switching method we were using.

Not a huge deal 'cause the owners' already got their prints, but I'm worried for some photos I'll be taking this weekend.

I agree with Terry, beacause, if the card was corrupt, then I think that all the photos would either be corrupt or just gone.

Was she just printing directly from a printer? Or was she copying to a computer to print? If it's the latter, she may have moved some of the files instead of copying them.

Just a thought.

Thanks, guys, I guess she could have deleted them. I'm not sure how. It was one of those PictureMate type printers. An Epson, but I'm not sure if that's PictureMate or something else. Anyway - you view the pics on a screen and print right to a 4x6.

You're probably right, somehow they got accidentally deleted, either by me or the printer lady.

Chances are that they just accidentally got deleted, but maybe you could try going out and filling up the cards, and checking if any are missing.
