Recent Mpix order... well, I just recieved my recent order from Mpix... three shots I had blown up to frame in our newley renovated bed room. One was a shot from my gallery of a tired farmer, resting at the big E this past september.. the other was a barn shot (from my gallery) and a picture of a painting of my dads mother as a teen back in Italy.. done somewhere around the early 1900's. After shooting it and retouching it in PS CS2 I was quite pleased with the results so my wife wanted to hang it in the hallway. I got the blowups back from Mpix and all I can say is WOW!! I could have never thought something I made was this outstanding ( not to toot my own horn...toot, toot!) but I could not believe how great these shots look blown up. I thought they looked good on screen but wow, the detail and sharpness is astounding, I have used Mpix before for wedding shots but only printed 4x6's.. which looked good too. Just thought Id share in case you are looking for a good printing service. Craig-

Craig, that is so good to hear. I've read numerous times to use Mpix, but haven't yet tried them. I've tried all of the local places and haven't had much luck. I even went as far as taking the same shot to 3 different locations...all of which were printed completely different from the other. Mpix for me the next time. Thanks for sharing!

I'm right there with you guys. In a pinch I've used local developers. They are disappointing after the quality work that I've received from MPIX. I recommend using their finishing services for your photos that you have them print. I get mine done on a matteboard with a finger-proof coating and it's just fabulous.

I had mine done just the standard way, glossy paper no specials and they look fabulas! I wanted to try the metallic paper but was afraid I wouldnt like it for these shots. I mounted them in Barn Wood frames and the barn pic and farmer pic just look at home there.. the pic of gramma was mounted in a black oval frame with an off-white mat. Craig-

I have used other on-line and local labs, but Mpix in my opinion is the best for me. I like their Kodak Endura, a little more expense but well worth it for those special shots.

I've also used mpix for a lot of enlargements, and I've always been impressed! They do such a superb job, and they are so unexpensive!! I've actually doubled my profit from using them instead of my local lab.

MPIX ROCKS! I absolutely refuse to use anyone else! I just tried them out about three months ago and have had everything printed by them since! The largest I have had blown up was a 12x18 and it was perfect!
