Portable Displaying of images

I have a Deluxe web site that I refer people to to see my images. My college son suggestes that I get one of the new Ipods that can display hundreds of images that I could care with me to show people when they are interested. I think the idea of being able to pull out a small device to show images is a good idea...but is the new Ipod that will show images my only choice.....it seems sort of pricey? Do I have other choice and are there any other ways I can go so that when I am at office or out that I could wip out a viewer and show people some of my images to get them interested even more. Thanks. Daryl

Pocket PC's like IPAC's, Toshiba's, and Palm's are basically same idea as IPOD's except that these are PDA's and you can do more with them and the prices are is slightly lower. Some has the extension slots to insert the memory cards like Compact Flash and Secure Digial Card. On some you may have to transfer the images from the camera.
The advantage of these devices are the screen size. It is larger than the camera's LCD screen. And it is lighter.

There are many new digital picture frames that can store a number of images and do a running slide show. I've seen them as small as a keytag for about $50, up to a 3.5" for about $100, and 5x7 for $169. That's cheaper than a pda, and if you dont' have a need for a pda, it's definitely worth it to check it out. Ritz camera has a few, and if you do a google search for digital picture frame, you'll see many come up.

Good idea though - a walking photo gallery!
