Michael, composition is the placement of subjects and objects within the photograph to make it both visually appealing and to "tell the story" to the viewer. This is a complex subject about shapes, lines, colors, the lighting, the specific location of subjects and objects within the film frame, focus and depth of field, lens focal length, and even what film is used. -- John
