Photography Question

Gelatin

Does the fact that gelatin is used in film bother anyone but me? Just the idea of bones being used to record images for entertainment purposes bothers me. How much is really used? Am I just being over-sensitive? Any comments?

I think I read somewhere that Fuji has been phasing out its gelatin use with other chemicals not animal-derived, is this true?

Jello, marshmallow, vitamins, syrups, soups, candies, paint balls, ice creams, etc... Plants and animals, we consume them.

I believe there's a place in this world for all God's creatures . . . right next to the mashed potatoes.

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

I don't mean to offend anyone's sensitive natures, but some people worry too much about some things.

I don't hunt like I did when I was younger (I wouldn't want to traumatize my kids by bringing home Bambi or Thumper in a bag) but I also don't lose any sleep over what animal products might be in the everyday things that I use or consume.

To each his own.

Have a Happy Turkey Day!

"I believe there's a place in this world for all God's creatures . . . right next to the mashed potatoes."...... or the rice and gravy. Sorry but, even though I AM a souther boy, I still don't like grits.

I don't hunt either but for a different reason. I am not too crazy about the taste of wil game. However, if they open the season on beef cattle, ......... Where's my gun?
