Photography Question

Michael Warnock

online image resolution

Greetings. I have put up a website with some pictures which were resized at 72dpi. They are between 200k and 400k jpeg files. Here's the thing. In Photoshop, image viewer etc they look great but online they look like they're really low resolution. Kind of grainy. Copying the image from the site (right-click and save as) and viewing it in Paint, the image looks good. Can anyone shed some light on what I may have done wrong? Here is a link to one picture in particular... http://www.littleblueplanet.ca/michael_warnock_photo/mwp_gallery/sports/operation_evaporation.html
The person on the ground is rendered terribly and the climbers face and right shoe are also very poor quality. Any ideas?

I have also uploaded the image to my gallery on this site.

Mike.

Thanks so much for taking the time to look into this, Howie. Is it ideal to make prints from an sRGB file as well? Or is that mainly for web application?

Well Howie, it seems that I am unable to figure out how to change the embedded color profile without setting PS to sRGB and opening the Adobe RGB photo, having PS convert the color space before opening the file. How can I process a photo in Adobe RGB and then convert sRGB as a last step?

This ones got me baffled, though I'm sure the answer will be embarrasingly simple.

Mike.
