Photography Question

Jennifer W

yellow tint to inside shots

When I take pictures inside my house using incandescent light and no-flash, they come out yellow-hued. Sometimes I like the effect, but sometimes I don't want it. I assumed it was a white balance problem and figured out how to change the white balance on my camera to the lightbulb setting, but that didn't help.

Can someone help me figure out what is wrong?

I'm so sorry! I have no idea what is going on with the multiple posts. I'm trying to upload an example of what I'm talking about.

  Here's a tip - don't hit the submit button 3 times!
Not sure how to help with the yellow tint!

Thanks, Diane, I figured that part out. :) I think the fact that I wasn't signed in before I tried to upload a pic caused a problem. I didn't realize I *had* submitted the previous two times.

I actually just navigated to your gallery via your answer to someone else's question. I *love* your gallery, and I asked you a question on your "Milkbone" photo, if you don't mind. :)

Thanks so much Jennifer!!! I truly appreciate your feedback!
You're right about having to sign-in before uploading a pic to a Q&A. It's a little convoluted but sometimes I'll write my question and then respond to it and upload the pic then...
I've answered you and put on the last page of my gallery two sample doggy montages for you.
As for the yellow tint I'm sure it has something to do with your white balance - can you change yours in the camera to what light you are shooting in (regular bulb, sun, cloud, flourescent?)
