Photography Question

Maria L. Jones

Photo Comments

Ok...I'm not sure if it is me or what. There are so many beautiful "real" photos on this site that have not one comment, but there is a photo of a bolt that has several comments? A bolt..now come on...there is nothing great about a photo of a bolt sticking in a piece of wood. I think lots of people need glasses...

So the photo is not real or beautiful or great because its "just a bolt"?

  I can't even see a bolt WITHOUT my glasses,...so I guess I'm screwed. :(

All kidding aside,...Lots of comments here are just friends stopping by to say "Hey".
As Terry mentioned,...people who comment on a regular basis are the ones most likely to get feedback on their own photos.
It's also largely based upon timing. Depending on where you live, if you post during mid-day, late at night, or around dinner time, your comments and feedback will be be less than if you post early in the morning.

  I'm not a dolt,
If I shoot a bolt,
If it's sharp and properly placed,
So I've been tolt.....:-)

Wow, Bob, not only are you a terrific photographer, but also not a bad poet!! allowing for the little poetic licence there of course!! :)

  Thanks, Elisabeth...:-)
But, I have to go with the stream of thought here......there are certain types of photos I don't like, but that doesn't stop me from commenting on the photographer's skill/ability to capture a mood/sharpness of photo/composition, etc.

Bob (bolting out of the conversation)

real is in quotations, so it must be you.
