Warm-up filters and White Balance

Digital cameras are equipped in white balance which has been preset for different lighting conditions. Would the WB for Daylight, Shade, Cloudy and Flesh work exactly the same as warm-up filters 81A, B and C? Would it be possible to use the WB presets instead of these filters?

Stan J. Bendkowski
Thanks Greg. Do you know what colour temperature the warm-up filters (81A, B and C) correspond to?

Is it better to apply the filter while taking the photo in RAW format or after in one of the post processing programs?
