What's your goal with Photography? Some people like to tell a story with a picture, or create an unearthly image, or set up a specific scene to photograph, etc... I've asked myself this question and the best answer I could come up with is: I like to capture and preserve what I am seeing at a moment in time. When I see a cool sunset, my wife in the candlelight, evening lights, a friend singing in a band, airplanes in an air show, friends bowling, etc. I just want to "save" it as I saw it. Easier said than done...which is why I am always studying and practicing and enjoying my pics. This late afternoon sky pic I took while driving home (literally) from work with my Sony T1, which I have with me all the time...

I think at the moment, my goal is to have the scales balance....cost of equipment on one side, ooohs and aaaahs on the other side......:-) Bob

My goal would be to take images as good or even close to as good as Galen Rowell. I'll have to take some courses or a workshop before I'm able to reach my goal because up until now I'm not even close. I enjoy extraordinary landscapes better than anything and would love to attain to scenics that take your breath away!

I have what I would call a two part goal right now....(1) to please myself; my own personal enjoyment and (2) to be the best I can be. When these two parts meet, it really reminds me how much my hobby is worth all the time I put into it! =)
