Replacement for 28-135mmUSM IS? I've gotten good reviews from the Canon 28-135mm USM IS,but I am getting so impatient because all the stores that I went, also on-line, they are out of stock. Any suggestions to replace this lense,that is basically same price and quality? And also if possible,tips where I could get the lense..thanks...

For use on the 350D (I assume that's your camera per your gallery): EF-S 17-85 f/4-5.6 IS USM has the same build and features (IS and ring-USM) but for wider-angle. The closest match is the Tamron SP 24-135 f/3.5-5.6 AD Asph. As good optically, a little wider zoom range, but no IS or USM. Otherwise, you can give up some of the tele and IS in exchange for f/2.8:

i got mine a couple of weeks ago from Abes of Maine. they are in NYC. I have purshed from them now a couple of times, they are pretty good, I also got my 50MM f1.8 there. go to the website! Just beware they will try to sell you every accessory they can. must be paid on commission.They tried to sell me all these filters and I actually bought a filter set and a lens hood from them at the same time, they kept chopping the price till I said yes..lol got a great deal, I think. also I call the order in so I can get a name and such. I dont order on line if I can call.. Craig-

Thanks a million guys! If I dont get the lense, I'll probably just purchase another one and just wait for that to come out. If my budget fits!!LOL!
