Photography Question

How to show photos immediately after shoot...

I have an event that I am photographing this Saturday and I want to be able to have a program that will allow me to show the photographs immediately after the event. Does anyone know how to do this other than just uploading through my laptop?

Well Cynthia unless I'm misunderstanding the question, if you had a program on the laptop, you'd have to upload the files to the laptop to use the program so either way you're uploading them. (I don't shoot digital so I'm not 100% sure).

  Cynthia,
Most digital cameras come with a video cable that you can connect to a TV to view the images on the screen without downloading them from the camera. This is probably the quickest solution, but be aware that you won't be viewing the images at their best resolution.

  CYNDEE,
I load my portraits on in to a file and then show them with Microsoft Viewer. I can turn them and mignify them to show what they would look like croped , if need be.
If you have windows you should have it.
right click on a picture and go to open with and browse-
Justin, may know more about this- I just seem to find stuff, use it and not know how I do it?????
hope this helps,
Debby

I've never used one of these but a Digital Picture Frame viewer might be an option. One concern is how fast they display the images. Here's a couple from Sharper Image

This one below is a little different as you'd have to connect it to a pc and transfer them over to the built in 30 gb drive. It has a 4" LCD screen (but it's a little pricey)

Using the TV out isn't a bad idea but try it at home first to see what the quality is like. Plus, your TV may look different than their TV so beware!

  Cynthia,

Nikon has D2Hs and D2X, they have a wireless system. while you are taking the photos they are uploading automatically to the laptop without wires. If you would like to have more information just go to www.nikonusa.com Julio

Thanks, Julio. That would have been a great option, but I have a canon... :(
