The International Library of Photography About 2 and a half years ago, my wife entered this photo contest with The International Library of Photography. She was excited when the photo was going to be published and talked me into buying the book, which we still have not got. Can anyone out there help me get in contact with them. If my wife cant have the book, then I want the money back. Please help. Joshua

You will probably get your book in about a year or so, and it will contain hundreds of photos, some good, some bad and some really bad, all of which were sent the same congratulatory letter, and you will also be asked to purchase awards for your photo and so on and on it goes. Sorry to break the bad news, but this is one organization to be avoided.

Try searching the threads, there are a TON of people who are mad at that company, and they're all writing on here.

its a scam to sell books.. iguess most ppl who recieve the letter buy at least one book. I think you probably will get your book but it takes them along time to get them out,. I imagine its one guy sitting there in his underwear typing like crazy then bringing all the pics and such to a printer and getting the books out. I think I searched thier addy on zaba search and it looked like a residential address. probably working out of his moms basement! craig-

Hi everyone. I am a new member and am so glad that I found this website before I was suckered into buying a book from phot.com that iamy never see. I too recieved a letter saying I was a finalist. I went and checked them out on the BBB then got this link sent to me by my mother, and so glad I did. I am not going to send money to them till I see if the picture is actually going ot be printed in..yep Endless Journeys supposed due out in Winter 2005. I did find some of the previous books listed on Amazon.com, so I will wait. Thanks all of you for the heads up before I feel into the trap..

When I got my letter saying that I had to "purchase" the book that my picture was being published in, my first thought was NO! They want to use my picture than I should get a free copy. I'm waiting to see if Barnes & Noble are getting it in and go there to see my picture. I'm so glad that I didn't fall into it. But now I've gotten an e-mail from betterphoto.com saying that one of my pictures are being published, but it sounds like you have to purchase the book in order to have that done. People are too greedy these days.
