  Roland,
You shouldn't need any warming or cooling filters with this film (or any color negative for that matter). Portra is extremely well balanced for daylight with superb skin tones. Warming and cooling filters are subtle in their effects. The person printing the negatives can (and will) make decisions about color balance that can easily overwhelm anything you achieve using them. Warming and cooling filters are more appropriate with transparency films.

Use "softening" filters with great care. There are a number of types which use different methods for diffusing the light. It is easy to achieve too much. You will lose contrast with them as they inherently scatter the light passing through them. If you wish to use them, do some experiments first. Some types are affected by aperture setting (more diffusion at wider aperture).
