Gold Signature on Photo My wife has a table at a craft show in 2 weeks and I was considering adding some of my photos for her to sell. I have been happy to give away dozens of photos to friends in the past months and now I just want to allow others to enjoy my work and break even. Years ago I had some portrait photos taken by a professional photographer and all the photos came back with a gold signature on the bottom corner. This was added post developing and looked almost as though it were created with an embosser or stamp. The lettering was applied directly to the photo paper, not the matting. I would like to do something similar - maybe not for this event but for some time in the future. I know that it is possible to add this feature prior to the photos being printed, but I would like to do this directly on the printed photo. I am not comfortable signing freehand with a gold sharpie as my wife suggested, but would like some suggestions for maybe a gold stamp or stickers? Internet searches have turned up very little. (All the photos are of architecture and nature, so I am not very concerned about getting model releases)

Nick, It's done with a metal die and gold embossing foil.

Where do you buy the embossing foil? There is an office supply store in my town that can order the embosser, but didnt' know where I can get the foil. She said it was a heat transfer paper?

It's been a while since I used one but I purchased it from a pro photo supply. Why don't you try asking at the PPA website, they might have more info on them. And yes it is a heat transfer buy you can order a metal die of your signature or logo. Sorry I wasn't much help.
