The difference between 6 MP and 8 MP is effectively no difference. You're looking at maybe 10% more resolution in either plane, or the difference between 3000 horizontal pixels and 3300 horizontal pixels. In other words, at 300 dpi, you can make a print 1" bigger on either axis with the 8 MP, or 8.5x11 instead of 8x10. Since you already have Nikon AS/F lenses, why not get the D70s? You'll save several hundred dollars with your new lenses.
