White balance for indoor shooting

This is an example of what I mean by the off color coming from some source other
than house lights, because we had no electricity in these rooms after the tree came
through the roof and into our living room.

I corrected whatever I could in PS-7, based on my limited knowledge. But I don't
know how to further correct. Any enlightenment would be helpful.

The same is true for

I corrected this in PS for the green overcast by using magenta and tried to isolate the
areas that were greenish. Some were better, but then the wood fragments turned out
magenta. This was a lot of work in PS and I'm still not happy with the fruits of my
labor.

The light that came into the living room initially was daylight coming through the
leaves of the tree. I had my camera set on 7000 temperature (for shade). Is that the
reason for this color shift? Next time (and I hope it isn't still another hurricane), I'll
try to remember to use daylight. However, what will happen to the shaded areas
when I change the white balance to daylight?

Some of my other images are near the bottom of the 96 additional images.

Thanks.
