Camera Manual

Hi
Does anyone know where I can get a copy of the manual for my KS1000 Pentax. I just bought it at a market here in Adelaide, Australia. I have searched the web so far to no avail. I can find info on the K1000 but KS1000 doesn't seem to exist! Any info/clues on where to go next will be greatly appreciated.
Regards
Lynn

Have you tried the Magic Lantern series? These are manuals that are also full of good tips on photography. THey are widely available worldwide. I think they are printed in U.S.A. I always purchase one of these as they are much better written and easier to understand than manuals (which have been translated into english). They give true, unbiased advice. If, however, a Magic Lantern book is not available from your local bookstore or not printed, just ask and I can provide you with an address here in England where you will certainly get the original manual. Regards, Roland.

Magic Lantern appears to have two that might help, although I am not sure if they specifically talk about the KS-1000.

Magic Lantern Guide to the Pentax Classic Cameras

Magic Lantern Guide to the Pentax Zx-M and K1000

If these look sketchy to you, try looking for info at:

Mike Butkus' Free Online Camera Manuals page

Bojidar Dimitrov's Pentax K-Mount Equipment Page

Or try eBay for a KS-1000 manual.

Thank you both for your responses. I have since found a place here that knows a lot about older cameras. They have advised me that it is in fact a Ricoh XR-1 made in Japan and it has a Sears label on it also. Anyway they have located the manual for that and I now have a copy. I was confused initially because of the KS1000 label being so closely named like the K1000 Pentax so I wrongly assumed Pentax for my camera.
Am now using the camera well and hope to get some good results soon.
Thanks again for your time.
Regards Lynn
