Brightness problem Hi Firstly hello to all of you. It is my first time being part of this site actively.Hope I will learn a lot being in this community. I have recently moved from CANON 300D to EOS20D and one of the probelm I am facing is that whenever I use the autofocus option, my picture becomes too bright. I can control it in the manual options but choosing autofocus gives me problem. I am using TAMRON 28-300m lens. Please if anyone has faced this problem or have any suggestion, I will appreciate it. Regards

I would think the 20D would have some kind of exposure compensation in auto mode. . . I have ranges from -3 to +3 on my Maxxum 7D. . . when you adjust the know I can watch my display and see the shutter changing to help with brightness.

Do you mean to say what it seems like? You say that you're photos are too bright when the camera focuses the image but you turn down the exposure yourself. Unless you are auto focusing and recomposing, while locking exposure, autofocus has nothing to do with the brightness of the picture. I have the 20D and I always have my camera on either -1/3 or sometimes -2/3 exposure compensation so my highlights aren't too bright. But again, whatever focus mode you are in doesn't have anything to do with exposure. If you are using full auto mode, if you wish to shoot in auto exposure mode, I suggest you switch to P instead of full auto. Then pop up the flash when you need it, like in very dark lighting. Anyway, try setting some negative exposure compensation as I do with my 20D.
