What is Fill Light How can I remove the shadows on face while taking the shots in day light, I have tried that by using external flash as a Fill light but I could not get the results. I really have poor knowledge about how to get smooth faces in daylight without any shades, as I have seen so many out door shots taken by photographer with very nice , even light on face in day time..

If their like me I put the sun at there back, works every time, unless the sun is high noon. I usually always make my appoinments to aviod high noon. But on ocassions that I have to I will use a shade to block the sun hitting the face. And I always use flash fill outside. good luck!
