Ridge Trail Road in the Rocky Mountain National park

Well, I'm back from Denver. I would like to thank my new friend Laura J Smith (BP member) for taking me on a short tour. We went up the "Ridge Trail Road"...way up, 14,000 feet elevation in the Rocky Mountain National Park. It's hard for a sea-level dweller to get around at that height...walk a bit, gasp for air, walk a bit, gasp for air......
I was disappointed with it (as was she) after all the hype (hipe?) I'd read online about the spectacular sights. After this road, she drove me to Mt Evans...which was more interesting.....it snowed on us at Mt Evans, we saw mountain goats and short scrubby trees that, well, were short and scrubby...
Any comments on the pics would be appreciated.
Bob

  Bob,

I think that the pictures are great! Makes me miss out West. I'm in Illinois and it's not spectacular in any way! Corn, Soybeans, Cattle.....

Haven't seen the Rocky Mountains since the summer of 1995. I may need to go back now.

Thanks for sharing and glad you had a good time.

Thanks, Amber and Michelle. This fence, I think, was the highlight of about the 6 hours that Laura drove me around.
Later in the Denver conference, we had a concert given just for us at Invesco field by John Mcuen (formerly of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band). It's hard getting anything sharp of the performers from a distance, in dim light, blah blah blah.....So I tried silhouettes (sp?)
