Kudos to MPix


Just wanted to share my success with MPix. . . I recently took the sports pictures at our local school. MPix has always given me great service and turn around time, but today tops the cake. I finished the pics on Tuesday, uploaded on Tuesday night(after the thunderstorm came through) and submitted the order by noon on Wednesday. I did opt to use Fed Ex which cost me a bit more but MPix shipped my order yesterday and the pictures arrived today and I delivered the final product to two of the teams in less than 48 hours of taking them . . . they are thrilled. . . the other teams I took I was able to still give a 3-4 day turn around. If you are needing a lab and haven't tried MPix I would recommend them highly. .. I don't think you will be disappointed!

  Great to know!! I am in the process of placing a large order to Mpix tonight. I had to do the cd mailer program because I have Dialup!! I mailed it on Monday and they had my album ready to view today!! I am very anxious to see the final product. I sent in a few 11x14's and lots of smaller enlagements and was scared to place such a large order w/o using them before, but everyone has said great things about them. I can't wait to see them!!

  WOOHOO...GIRLS...I just had to put my 2 cents in that I ALREADY LOVE Mpix...I was sooo excited about my order when I received it..How they kept the images all perfectly boxed & Tammy I ordered an 11x14 & I love it..Great colors & quality & DEFINITELY turn around time this place has!!!:):)

  I have used them too and loved it!! Just one question though, do you check the color correction feature or do you just rely on your own. I did not check it last time because I was worried. Just wondering if anyone has and what the results were.

  Now that is a good point....I always tell my lab NO color correction!!! I haven't placed my order with Mpix yet and didn't notice the color correction box. I hope to figure it all out tonight. What do you girls do??

  I do everything in PS so I made sure on my order not to let them color correct my order...When I received my prints they were just fine.

  I've let them color correct all my past orders and they have NEVER failed me. If you let them color correct and don't like it, call them...explain this was your first time ordering and didn't know what to expect and they will most likely reprint your images free of charge. BTW, they automatically color correct unless you check the box that tells them NOT to.

  I too do mine in PS but I just wondered if the color correct enhanced the photo at all. Thanks Mel, I will have to try it next time. Another question, has anyone ever had their prints printed on their canvas. I have a customer who wants that and I just wondered if it turned out good. Thanks for the responses.

  Hey Sandy...I haven't but have a close friend who has and she is always happy with the results....Like I said...if you're not happy, I'm sure you can call customer service and they will try to do what they can to satisfy you!

  Okay when I first got on MPix there wasn't the color correct option . . . so one day I went to order and there it is . . so I emailed customer service. . their recommendation was that unless everything is calibrated then to NOT check it . . . so I never check the box. . . and I do my own stuff in PS . . . only one time has the image been goofy and it was just a 4 x 6 so it wasnt' a big deal . . . and it wasn't awful just off. . . I have noticed occasionally when I reorder that sometimes the lighting will be different . . . but overall it's still fine. . . And also if you are doing wallets and putting a studio logo or anything on them my recommendation would be to upload a 5 x 7 cropped image and make sure the edges of the logo are 1/2" in from the side you are putting it on and up 1/2" from the bottom otherwise it will cut it off!

  Okay just added a picture to my cart. . . and it says DO NOT color correct this order and gives you a box to check. Soooo if you DO NOT want color correction check the box. . I leave my box unchecked and all of my orders have been fine!

  Glad I found all this out before I placed my order...not that if would've matter too much. I bet they'd still do a great job either way! Good info Mel.
