Lighting for weddings/indoors I shoot digitally mostly on-location using only my SB-800 Speedlight Flash. However, I am getting more requests for weddings & indoor shoots so I am considering purchasing a lighting set. I have no idea what to look for & what I would need (especially for portraits inside of dark churches). A system I have my eye on has 3 strobe lights (two 150w/s lights, GN 135 feet at ASA 100). Would this be sufficient for my needs & are there any tips you can give me on finding the best lighting equiptment without going overboard?

I would like to know hte answer to this as well. I am looking at the Steve Kaeser's (from E-bay, thanks to Deby's recommendation) 2550 wt "cool light" w/boom. http://cgi.ebay.com/2550-WATT-PRO-DIGITAL-COOL-LIGHT-KIT-BOOM_W0QQitemZ7538627675QQcategoryZ3860QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Do I really need all this "stuff", and if I don't, will someone recommend me to another "kit"? Thanks!

Cynthia, Steve has many different out fits-maybe a call to him or myself may be of some help to you- also Laura from the Studio Photography thread - just recieved a set from him-you may want to contact her-she posted on a similer thread just the other day. but the size of kit depends on what you intend to do with it. Please let me know maybe I can be of more help. Megan, again it depends on what you want to do with the lights. Weddings : I do set up portable studios but most often, they are used only for some posed shots and family sittings there on site - I also use my SB 800 and a Q flash these allow me to move about and get the same even lighting on the candids as well. I do hope this helps, Debby
