Photography Question

Linda Muir

Do my Photos have any potential for future sales?

I have been doing photography for a couple of years now and have just recently upgraded to a Nikon Coolpix 8800. I do most maco photography of flowers, wildlife and insects.

The reason I am asking the question "Do my photos have any potention for future sales? is because I would like to make some decent pocket money (I'm retired) to buy future photography equipment, but not make so much money as to take the fun out of it.

Selling photos is NOT about your potential per se', but creating a market, getting your name out there, salesmanship and great marketing.

Thanks Pete. I guess I should have asked if my photography is good enough to think about maybe selling - or is my photography appealing enough, or would my photography be of interest for sales, those kinds of questions and asking because I have been a 1st, 2nd, 3rd and honorable photo winner.

I probably did not question this correctly.

No problem Linda. Your question is a hard one to answer. I've seen work I would not pay a nickel for, yet someone paid a lot for it. LOL
Personally I love Kincaid's paintings and I do buy some when I can afford to; yet there are others who don't like his work at all.
All art has potential if you find a buyer..or create the buyer..i.e; once again, marketing.

Pete
